Cherokee AcceleratHER accepting submissions for third cohort

The Cherokee Nation, in partnership with the University of Tulsa and supported by Embolden Education, is now accepting submissions for the third cohort of the Cherokee AcceleratHER Fellowship. This program aims to support Native American women entrepreneurs who are building or scaling their businesses.

The fellowship provides selected participants with access to mentorship, business development resources, and a network of industry experts. Over the course of the program, fellows receive tailored guidance to help them overcome common challenges in launching and growing a venture. The curriculum focuses on practical skills such as financial planning, marketing strategy, and leadership development.

Organizers emphasize that the initiative is designed to address the unique barriers faced by Indigenous women in the business world. By offering a supportive community and direct access to capital and coaching, the fellowship seeks to close gaps in funding and opportunity.

Applications are open to enrolled citizens of the Cherokee Nation who are at least 18 years old and actively running a for-profit business. The deadline for submissions is set for early next month, with the cohort expected to begin later this spring. Past participants have reported increased revenue, expanded networks, and greater confidence in their entrepreneurial abilities. More details on eligibility and the application process are available through the Cherokee Nation's business development office.
