Giorgio Panci, a senior majoring in business management systems, is spending his summer far from the familiar streets of Rome. Originally from Italy, Panci is now based in Barcelona, Spain, where he works as a digital demand associate intern for SAP, a multinational software corporation. The role places him at the intersection of technology and business strategy, giving him hands-on exposure to global operations.
In his position, Panci helps analyze market demand and supports digital sales initiatives. He works alongside teams from different countries, which he says has sharpened his communication skills and broadened his professional perspective. The internship is part of his academic program, allowing him to earn credit while building a resume that spans two continents.
Panci notes that adapting to a new work culture was challenging at first, but the fast-paced environment in Barcelona has been a rewarding push. He handles data analysis, client outreach, and coordination with remote teams. The experience, he explains, is teaching him how a major tech firm operates on a global scale.
Looking ahead, Panci hopes to continue in the tech industry after graduation. He believes that combining his business management background with real-world digital experience will open doors in Europe and beyond. For now, he is focused on learning as much as possible before returning to finish his senior year.
