I booked a $50 coach seat on an Amtrak Cascades train from Vancouver, British Columbia, to Seattle, and preferred it over air travel. The experience was refreshing and far less stressful than navigating the complexities of flying. With no long security lines or the hassle of boarding procedures, I was able to relax almost immediately upon arrival at the station.
The scenic route offered breathtaking views of the Pacific Northwest, with lush landscapes and picturesque waterfronts. Unlike cramped airplane seats, the coach provided ample space to stretch out, and the large windows allowed for an immersive experience of the stunning surroundings.
Moreover, the onboard amenities, including a café car, made it easy to grab a snack or drink while enjoying the journey. With the added benefit of avoiding airport delays and potential cancellations, my train ride proved to be an enjoyable and economical choice for travel between these two vibrant cities.
