Medical technology firm Hologic, Inc. has announced a significant leadership transition. José E. Almeida, the former Chairman and CEO of Baxter International, will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. He succeeds Steve MacMillan, who is retiring after leading the company for nearly a decade.
Almeida brings extensive experience in the healthcare and life sciences sectors to his new position. During his tenure at Baxter, he navigated the global healthcare company through a period of strategic transformation.
