Local business purchases Loudoun Stairs in Purcellville

A Purcellville-based company that has been crafting staircases for nearly four decades has been purchased by a group of local investors. Loudoun Stairs, founded by Brent Mercke approximately 40 years ago, was recently sold to a team of four local businessmen: Scott Carpenter, Charles Beach, Paul Ferrari, and Benjamin Carpenter.

The acquisition keeps the business under local ownership, ensuring that the company's long-standing reputation for custom stairwork and millwork will remain in the community. The new owners have stated their commitment to maintaining the same quality and craftsmanship that the company has been known for since its founding.

Loudoun Stairs has served homeowners and builders throughout the region, specializing in both new construction and renovation projects. The company's portfolio includes a wide range of staircase styles, from traditional wood designs to more modern, custom configurations.

The sale marks a new chapter for the business, which was built from the ground up by Mercke. The new ownership group brings together experience in local business operations and construction, and they have expressed enthusiasm about continuing the company's legacy while exploring opportunities for growth.

Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. The company will continue to operate out of its existing facility in Purcellville, serving clients in Loudoun County and the surrounding areas.
