Community leaders from Middlefield Village, Burton Village, and Burton Township gathered on July 6 to welcome Ramon Arellano to the new home of his Kaballos Mexican Kitchen and Bar. The event took place just ahead of a passing storm, but the weather did not dampen the spirits of the crowd. Onlookers applauded as 10-year-old Angel Arellano stepped up to handle the ribbon-cutting honors. Using the oversized ceremonial scissors provided by the Burton Middlefield Chamber of Commerce, Angel made the cut official.
The new location marks a fresh chapter for the restaurant, which has built a loyal following for its Mexican cuisine and bar offerings. Ramon Arellano, the owner, expressed gratitude to the community for their support during the transition. The presence of multiple local officials underscored the significance of the business to the area's economic landscape. With the ribbon now cut, Kaballos Mexican Kitchen is ready to serve its customers from the new space, bringing familiar flavors and a welcoming atmosphere to the neighborhood.
